My Garden and the Heat Equation
MY GARDEN is a continuation of my TREE project, which I began in 2000. In that initial installation, I sought to highlight the critical importance of reforestation and to prompt a rethinking and reestablishment of the relationship between humanity and nature. As the project evolved, my focus broadened to explore the complex functions and interconnections between trees, oceans, and other vital natural resources, which sustain life on Earth.
MY GARDEN is a multimedia exhibition that weaves together various artistic mediums to create an immersive experience. It includes intricately crafted wood Totems and Busts, alongside nature-illustrated Tapestries, each designed to draw attention to the fragility of our natural world. A centerpiece of the exhibition is the large Sun Totem and the accompanying Heat Equation, which serve as stark reminders of the global heat trap we have entered. These works collectively reflect the urgent need for environmental consciousness in the face of escalating climate challenges.
Through this exhibition, I aim to inspire a deeper contemplation of our role within the ecosystem and the pressing need to restore the delicate balance between human activity and the natural world.
